#12 How to get phone number in India

Finally, I got my local phone and number !

I am going to explain how to get it here for person who have oppotunity to visit India.

First, you prepare SIM free phone.

I already bought sim free phone in Philippine, so I didn't need to get new one.

Btw, most indian have SAMSUNG phone.

This is mine.

Second, you go to mobile phone company and buy SIM card.

When you buy a sim card, you write a paper and you need to show below things.

1. PASSPORT（Foreigner）
2. VISA
3. Picture （as large as passport's one）
4. Local address proof 
5. Friend's phone number （whoever live in India）
6. Money 

Lastly, you call the number and then it will be available

You need to type the last four number of your passport.

However, after you call, you have to wait for a day.

Because, it takes whole day for making the number available.

You can contact with friends by using mobile phone.

Mobile phone has became indispensable item for people.

今までに海外でローカルフォンを購入した方はわかると思いますが、基本的に海外では同じ方法で購入します。

なので、今回は今までの購入方法と違う点を挙げていきますね。

1. パスポートと同じ大きさの写真の提出を求められる点
2. インド人の知り合いの電話番号を記入する点
3. １日待たないとその番号が使えない点

の３点です。

ネット環境があるとタクシーを呼んだり、友人と待ち合わせしたりと

とても便利なので、長期滞在するかたはぜひ購入してみてください。
